I sit here typing these words over a month after the launch of my most recent original artwork launch. Between Covid-19 and quarantine and a million thoughts in between these past few months have been an emotional rollercoaster and in all honestly, just a bit of a blur, but the thing helping me keep track of time is the artwork that keep being made in the studio

This month's freebie is from one of my Tiny Landscape paintings that I've been sharing over on Instagram every Friday! I’ve loved exploring working on these small landscapes, they have been so much fun to just let loose and explore new compositions and honestly just letting myself let go and dream of the places I wish I was as right now. Because I don’t know about you but all this “stay at home” stuff has been challenging even for the homebody like me.

You’re probably like me, weeks into this global COVID19 pandemic and you’re stuck at home, maybe with kiddos and the ideas of how to keep us entertained has diminished. Really though, how are you filing your days? Well early on I knew I needed a few things to keep me sane during our Washington “stay at home” mandate and I’m sharing a few of these things with you… like the printable coloring pages I made!

If you follow me on instagram then you know how I’ve been switching things up and painting a lot of tiny landscapes. I love painting these little original landscapes for a number or reasons, but the biggest one is the fact that tiny art can truly make a big impact in your home. Plus it’s a fun way for me to get some ideas out of my head a little faster then when I paint large and because they are an affordable way to collect artwork for you home no matter your budget.

You know you have a bit of an obsession when your “gallery wall” Pinterest board has over 300 + photos pinned! I figured it was time to share some of the photos that are currently inspiring me. From simple gallery wall with only 3-5 photos/ artwork to massive gallery walls that literally take up the entire wall. I think honestly one day I will have one like this,

I am so excited to say that I added 4 new floral prints to the shop! When I first added fine art prints last year I was beyond excited to announce it because it had seriously been a dream of mine for so long. I had been dreaming of curating a collection of fine art prints with your home in mind because of some of the many requests I had been getting over the past few years.

Did you know that I started blogging way back in 2012, I was only a few years into marriage. We had moved to Montana and I was going to school to be an interior designer. So much is different now, but at the same time some thing are awfully the same… still living small, still plant obsessed, still creating, still typing out words

I shared these new paintings with my 4yr old niece. I asked her if she likes these “houses.” She immediately corrected me by saying “auntie, those aren’t houses, they’re Homes.”

I asked her what the difference was and she said “houses are empty & homes have people living in them.”

I am so excited to dive into this new year! To kick things off I’m hosting a 15 day free painting challenge.

Each day you will receive a painting prompt and guided instructions on what to paint and some of my little tips to help you with the process. The best part about this challenge is there is no previous painting experience needed, just an open mind and a desire to show up and try something new!

If you have been around this blog for any period of time than you know how much I love a good DIY and as much as I love DIY's I almost love spray paint even more. So when I got asked to participate in my first local downtown artwalk I was thrilled/nervous and completely unprepared to be honest. So I got back to my roots… spray paint that is. I’m pretty sure spray paint can solve 99% of life’s problems.

Last year on a whim I decided to add Hand Painted Ornaments to my list of holiday items. I spent many late nights experimenting and just having fun creating. Working on a new surface and deciding how to design each one left me so full of inspiration that when this year rolled around bringing back these ornaments were top of the list!

Dear sunlight, could you last a little longer so I could get a few more painting hours squeezed in please.
