I’ve never been the artist that keeps an organized sketchbook full of ideas, I’m more the type to have a million small pieces of paper or random sketches side by side with my to do list and a wall full of taped up skribbles. But I’ve come to love the not so organized chaos.

This painting is about self trust, about the many layers that build upon each other, the layers that are the process of becoming. Itss soft and bold movements and textures that began to intertwine and become a story worth sharing.

In my lifetime of creating art and my 5 year of business I have become good friends with the “creative rut.” Those dry seasons as an artist when the creativity feels harder to come by or your ideas just feel not in alignment with some part of yourself. When I feel like I’m creatively stuck I found these 5 tips helpful to get the juices flowing and find new inspiration.

Do you hate having a cluttered workspace, a million “tools” spread about? That was the problem I felt like I was constantly battling in the studio. That was all before I was introduced to CANVAS… I know you might be thinking “I know what a canvas is” but this is not a piece of fabric. This is a stunning minimalist workspace lamp that will replace studio lights for overhead film making, a tripod for your camera and the terrible issue of desk clutter!

Monthly planning just got way cuter because I’ve added two brand new large scale wall calendar to the shop! They have beautiful artwork as well as space to write down all the important details for the month, plus space to mark of tasks, top priorities and goals. Lot’s of thought and planning went into the layout of the monthly calendar, it was designed so when you pop it into a frame and then it becomes a reusable dry erase calendar!

Releasing new paintings always gives me all the feelings. Anxious, excited, relieved. These new original paintings are bright, colorful and full of a new energy I’m still slowly digesting. I’ve learned that this is kinda the process I go through each time I wrap up a series of paintings

I sit here typing these words over a month after the launch of my most recent original artwork launch.
