I’ve been slow to share the new paintings I have been working on, they have felt so personal and the process wasn’t something I was quite ready to share until now. It’s been a slow, thoughtful process of painting, reflecting, feeling all the things and during each studio time a simple thought kept coming to mind.

the phrase “A Souls Response”

It’s probably because these paintings have become my heart’s response to so many things. I also know that art is such beautiful tool for connecting to ourselves and to others. I hope these paintings maybe give a language to some of the things you may be feeling especially if words feel hard to come by.

Soft yet fierce, strong and tender, grounded and free...

The new abstract series are filled with thoughts of what it’s like to be human. To be be in the journey of discovery who we truly created to be in this world.

IN THE SHIFTING WINDS,

THE QUIET THOUGHTS

SHE STOOD TALL AND SAW WHO SHE WAS.

SOFT, YET FIERCE,

STRONG AND TENDER,

GROUNDED, BUT FREE.

IN THE UNCERTAINTY, WHEN MUCH FELT LOST

HER SOUL RESPONDED

“YOU CAN JUST BE.”

YOU ARE SOFT AND FIERCE,

STRONG, YET TENDER,

GROUNDED BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY FREE.

FREE TO COME ALIVE JUST AS YOU ARE.

AND THROUGH THE TENSION OF LIVING 

SHE SAW IT TO BE TRUE,

WE ARE NEVER TRULY LOST.
