Notes from the Studio... New Water Paintings!
I feel like it's been forever since I did a proper studio update for you guys! Now that I'm well on my way with this new collection of paintings I thought it was the perfect time to spill the beans about what all has been happening over the past few weeks & months
The idea of revisiting some WATER paintings has been stirring around inside for a while. Sometimes inspirations comes on hard and fast and the work comes flowing out in a rapid fashion, other times its slow and steady and I find myself picking up on the clues along the way…
This time it was the nice, slow & steady approach, but as soon as the first painting started I knew this was what I needed to be doing.

The water has always been
a place of calm,
a place to reflect,
a place of beauty.
The mood in the studio has reflected that as I slowly work on each painting. I'm remembering the early mornings on the boat watching the waves slowly move with the wind. I'm hearing the sound of the birds while I sit by the shore. I'm brought back to the sunrise and the way it almost brought me to tears because of its beauty.
I hope to have these paintings completed sometime next month. Thank you for sharing this journey with me, I am honored to be able to make art that fills your homes. To be able to share these memories and then let you make your own.
