Thoughts behind the painting: Jumping In
Rest.
"Be still, Rest, Going Deeper"... these have been some of the things on my mind while working on this soft water painting.
I'll be honest I was running away from this one for a while because I felt intimidated. I knew my comfort zone was going to be challenged, I knew I would have to dig deep and trust my intuition.
I also knew I needed to take my time. Allow myself to pause, observe, walk away, come back. Sit with the way the water moved effortless in the early morning on the boat. The way I felt so small and yet so alive sitting in the vastness of the water.
In a way I feel like I'm back on that boat, sitting, observing, being alive in the stillness of the moment.
This painting was a beautiful piece to work on, it forced me to slow down and be present. It’s one that sold almost instantly, but luckily I love Prints and this one can now be purchased and hung in your home!
