Simple Decor ideas for Fall + a Free Fall Printable
Two days ago I woke up and as I was still slowly getting out of bed I realized that I hadn't done any fall decorating or really any sort of styling for a while. The combination of having 90% of our belongings still packed in storage and the fact that I have been on a crazy painting binge with my #CreateEverydayProject left me on my "B" game.
So I knew right then and there that something had to change, even if it was low in effort. The funny thing is that I think this is my new favorite way of decorating, I'm dubbing it "Simple Styling."
It started with me heading to Trader Joes and picking up a basket full of mini pumpkins and gourds. My favorite gourds are the bumpy warty ones. I honestly don't know why, they just make me laugh every time I see one, so I obviously got a lot of them!
The warty gourd also became my inspiration for this Fall Printable (you can get your own by following the link or finding it in my shop, under "Printables & Freebies").
In our house we don't have a mantel, so when I went to style all my pumpkins and gourds I settled on our open shelves and a few strategic places around the house. My philosophy when it comes to styling is that you don't have to go crazy, just be intentional with what you have.
The only new things I added for fall was my Free Fall Printable and the few gourds I picked up. Placing them in small groupings with some plants or art create mini focal areas that help bring that festive feel.
