PENCIL SKIRTS & PLAID

These past few weeks I've been trying to get up earlier and have a little quiet time to just enjoy the peace before the day begins. As I said before I am not a morning person, but I have found that when I have had this time in the morning to journal and just spend some time with my cup of coffee and thoughts I feel a lot more prepared for the day.

I love watching the sun hit different places in my kitchen and something about these moments feel precious to me. Maybe it's the thought that we may be moving out of this house that we have made so many memories in and I want to steal these moments and save them deep in my mind. I love this little house with its mini stove and crazy giant heater. 

On another note remember when I shared my Pinterest inspired fall favorite outfits? Well amongst the 6 outfits was a little number that paired a flannel shirt with a pencil skirt and I thought it was brilliant. So I rummaged through my closet and found this lighter version using a plaid button up that I was gifted and this super cute pencil skirt I found at the goodwill for $2! It is a great date outfit that you could pair with heels or I choose some red flats to wear to work.
