marriage

I love being married, but I must say that it is not something that you can fully explain to someone who isn't married, and even then each marriage is uniquely different. I think this is one of the most fascinating things about marriage. We choose someone to spend the rest of our lives with. We share adventure and hardship, we change and grow and its constantly a choice to choose to really see the other person for who God made them to be. I love that in life we are constantly faced with choices. When you choose to commit, you choose to share life with someone, which means exploring and accepting all of the deep and ever changing facets of your partner.

I remember our wedding day, almost three years ago, standing there thinking that I was marrying someone that I knew so well. We had known each other for 5 years, but three years later I know this man better than I could have ever imagined. I cant begin to understand what another 5, 10 ... 50 years will feel like, sharing every adventure life can bring. I couldn't have asked for a better person to share life with.

I love this picture.. our faces are priceless. I remember the minister saying "now I pronounce you man and wife," and these were our expressions. It was like "oh my gosh we really did this.." Im so glad it was captured because it is totally us. Thank you again Kristen Tourtillotte for spending so much time with us on our special day!
