If you haven't already noticed if you've hung around this little blog, is that Im newly obsessed with plants. One problem that I keep running into is that our house is pretty small and our neighbors are really close so I tend to keep our curtains closed most of the time. The one window that is never covered sits over our sink in the kitchen. So I got this idea to create a way to hang some mini plants in the window.
One thing I love is finding plants that can be started in water until their root systems are big enough to be planted. So this is where my inspiration started. Oh that and glass jars, I tend to have a lot lying around. I began by wrapping wire around the neck of the jars and then created little loops for the hemp rope to slip through. When the loops were finished I tied some hemp rope to make a long sort of handle for the plants to hang from.
Next I used old shower curtain hooks to hang from my curtain rod and TaDa. New mini plant hangers
I love to look at these every morning and it will be so fun to watch them grow.
