DESIGN INSPIRATION | WORKSPACES
If you have been around this space for a while then you have heard me talk about living in our
small student home. I have fallen in love with our home with all its quirks and all (including our giant heater that takes up half of our tiny walkway). But one thing that I chosen to love is trying to figure out what creative ways to make the most of every inch of the house. And when it comes to my workspace that is no exception.
I have been tackling my "office" or I guess a better thing to call it is my "creative mess" space :) trying to organize and decide what things I really need. If you follow me on Pinterest than you have seen some of the things that have been inspiring me to create a functional and personalized workspace.
When it comes to your office/work area some general guidelines come to mind
1. try and take full advantage of any natural light that you have in your space
2. figure out what inspires you visually and make a point to incorporate it in your design
3. even the tiny spaces can become the perfect little work nook, you just have to look for it. Some of the more creative spaces I have seen have been small hall closets transformed into the perfect work area. Think "how much space do I really need?"
4. Stay organized. That could look like great bins or a creative wall system. Here is and example of a personalized bulletin board. (speaking of... I have an amazing organizational project that I will be sharing soon! Stay tuned)
5. An most importantly, make the space "yours." Don't be afraid to put your mark on your workspace. Wither you're paying bills or tackling some fun projects make sure that your space reflects you and makes you want to spend time in it.
