DIY: KNOTTED HEADBAND

I don't know about you but when it gets to be summer it is most definitely time for headbands.
I have found some headbands that I am in love with, but I love the challenge of trying to recreate what I've seen with things I already have.

I made this headband in about 15 minutes, which for me means a successful evening. It was so easy I have a feeling I will be making a lot more of these in the future.
Materials:
- cloth (I used an old shirt that I never wear that had some stretch, about 16" in length and 6" in width)
- ruler
- needle and thread
- scissors
Cute two: 2 -2 1/2" W x 15-16"L strips ( I obviously didn't cut very neatly and in the end it didn't really matter so do what your heart desires, in the neatness area)
Overlap the two strips
Then hold all four ends together
I folded over my edge to make a clean finish, but to each his own...
then stich ends together (I have also heard that you can hot glue the ends together or use fabric glue if you don't like to sew.
And Ta Da.. finished product a fun headband!
