decorating creations

I love mixing old and new together, I found this Mason Jar at an antique store and I knew that I had to have it. Originally I had bought two but one broke soon after I got it... lets just say that was a sad moment. But I couldn't quite figure out how I wanted to use it in my kitchen. 

I also love wine.. (really who doesn't) and collecting the corks afterwards has kinda become a strange obsession. So I have had to find ways to be creative with them. Last Christmas I made cute magnets out of the corks for presents. There were really easy, maybe I will share that DIY sometime. 

Anyways...

After moving the jar to many different homes I finally settled in my kitchen window filled with corks and surrounded by little plants that will try and survive the long Montana winter.
