Client Reveal: modern Master Bathroom suite

This project has taken way, way too long for me to finally blog about. But I wanted to write about it non the less, if anything just to document this fun project. After graduating with my interior design degree I had the pleasure of designing and being in charge of one of my first major remodel projects for two special people... my parents.

They are some of the hardest working people I know and they wanted to have their master bathroom feel like a mini vacation everyday they came home. I love them so much not only because of how much they encourage me to reach for my dreams, but also because trusted my judgement every step of this project.

This project was so fun because we were able to add a lot more functionality to the space, we added a walk-in closet, spa shower, and many other details to meet the clients needs. I was able to not only transform this master bathroom, but take the transformation into their master bedroom (you can view some of that here).

My main focus throughout this entire project was to create a calming oasis. This was accomplished through major items, like rearranging the layout and bringing function back to the space. To smaller simple changes, like a new color scheme and focusing on soothing textures. One of the elements in this space was the pebble stone flooring for the shower, this works great for massaging your feet and creating a sense of calm at the end of a long day.

I loved this project and seeing how happy they are months after the completion make me one happy designer.

If you could have your dream bathroom what colors or textures would you want in it?
