PEANUT BUTTER & OATMEAL SMOOTHIE

I am not a morning person, anyone who has lived with me for any period of time is rapidly nodding their head right now. Watch THIS video and it accurately describes me every morning.

So my morning routine looks like me hitting my alarm way too many times and then my two feet shuffle on into make some coffee and this shake. If you're with me and you aren't a morning person then you know it's all about routine and just going through the motions while your brain tries to catch up and function like all those morning people you (or maybe it's just me) are jealous of. 

But if there is one thing that helps me in my morning haze it's this healthy smoothie. It's packed with protein, peanut butter, oats and a few other things that you can tweak to your liking. For me this looks like some milk, banana and a couple ice cubes.

Recipe: 

1-2 scoops of your favorite protein powder 

1/2 a banana

1 tbs peanut butter 

1/4 cup oats 

1/4 - 1/2 cup milk (or water if you'd like)

1-2 ice cubes 

Directions: 

Add all of your ingredients to your blender or if you have one of these fancy babies

Then blend until smooth, add to your favorite glass, pop in a straw (check out my favorite metal ones) and drink away!
