RAMBLINGS | VOL 45

The Pacific Northwest has always held a piece of my heart. The ocean and mountains have always brought so much comfort to me. Something about being back in my hometown fills me with such inspiration and comfort.

It's like that comfort blanket that you had as a kid, for me the good memories pour over me as we drive down the road, roll the windows down and hear the frogs croak along in the fields. The way the rain falls in a gentle mist and creates a sweet smell in the air. I am brought back to my childhood and reminded what it feels like to be free. Free of responsibilities and full of the wonder of life. Walking along the ocean front will always reset me in a unique way, its my center. No matter where I am in life, locations or troubles, a simple walk along the water brings me back to a simple place and time. I can breathe in deep and begin to dream.
