friday's letters and DIY bulletin board

This week has been incredibly busy, it may have been spring break for some people out there (hubby included). However, for me and my job that ment working overtime to accommodate all those adorable children on top of my already full schedule.

Luckily I was anticipating the craziness and I squeezed in a little DIY fun before the week started. I have this awkward and useless door in my kitchen that you would think housed a great pantry area, but nope, mine houses a water heater. I have tried to find ways to use the space and it has held a few pictures but what I really wanted was something to take the clutter off our dining table. So I found this fun bulletin board for $2.99 at the Goodwill and knew just what I was going to do.

I didn't like or want the white because I seems like there is so much white in this house we can't paint, so I mixed up a color I liked with acrylic paint and went to work. I then had the idea to wash the cork in a black color but I didn't like it so I went over it in white (yes I know more white, but it works). And walla... new decretive place to get crap off my table and its not to bad to look at if I dont say so myself.

Friday's Letters

Dear school, I'm excited for the new things we are going to do together.  Dear weather, thanks for warming up and melting all that snow outside Dear weekend, I'm excited for a little road trip to cap off this crazy week.  Dear hubby, thanks for being such a help and making me snacks while I'm sleeping. Such a nice surprise to see in the morning on my way to work. Dear acceptance letter, it was really nice to see this piece of the puzzle come into place.   Dear dog, I know I don't have you yet but I would really like you in the next few years. Every time I see a cute puppy I just want to die and cuddle you all at the same time.
