diy: salt and pepper shakers

I will have to preface this by saying that I completed this project and thought of taking pictures after,
so verbal explanation of the process will just have to do.

I was gifted a pair of vintage owl salt and pepper shakers from my mom,
she found them at a thrift store and knew I could do something with them... and that I did.

They looked something like this to begin with:
(I looked these up online since I forgot to take a
before pic)

- I began by lightly sanding and then wiping clean with a damp cloth
- Next I allowed it to dry completely
- Then go outside or to a well ventilated area and place shakers on a firm surface
- I used Krylon white spray paint to complete this project (you could use any color you prefer)
- I then applied about 3 coats of spray paint (follow directions on can). You could
probably use less if you applied a primer first but I just repeated until the surface was covered, allowing to dry between coats.
- Then ta da adorable vintage modern salt and pepper shakers for pretty much pennies
