choosing friendship
In life I have found that choosing friendship is one of the easiest and yet one of the hardest things when distance separates you. I have had the privilege of knowing some beautiful women who have completely changed my life. I was a girl when I met most of these faces and when I left most of them 5 years later I left a much stronger, braver person because of the life I shared with them.
Because I now live in Bozeman Montana, most of my friends are spread all over the world. I am lucky to live in an age where technology allows me to see faces thousands of miles away. However, it is still hard to know that thousands of miles separate you from what once was a few steps away when I needed encouragement or just a place to plant my butt.
I do know that friendships change and evolve as time passes. I love that the time I spent investing in each of these women is now just as strong. I know that even though sometimes we haven't spoken in months, the moment we speak it is as if nothing has changed. I think that this is the definition of what quality friendship looks like. Just as each of these friendships have evolved I now get the opportunity of being apart of some new friendships. Finding and exploring who we are made to be and what makes us "tick" is apart of the entire adventure of friendship and relationship as a whole. I am so fortunate to have lived a life that is marked by friendship, new and old.
